To date, blogging has been a medium limited almost entirely to the written word and embedded video. However, new technologies and platforms are quickly enabling the development of an expansion to online radio hosting, podcasting and v-logging. Join thereisnospoon, clammyc, and famed hosts Cenk Uygur and Sam Seder as we teach you how to get started in this brave new medium, discuss the challenges and opportunities for those who make the leap, explore the exciting world of v-logging and discuss the world of traditional radio and how it relates to the new online radio medium.

Sam Seder

Sam Seder has hosted fours shows for AirAmerica, The Sam Seder Show, Seder On Sundays, the Majority Report with Janeane Garofalo, BreakroomLive with Marc Maron.

Seder is also a NY based writer, director and comedian, who wrote and directed the feature length comedies A Bad Situationist and Who’s the Caboose? starring Sarah Silverman, Janeane Garofalo and David Cross. Seder also co-wrote and directed, the Trio Network’s, Pilot Season with Isla Fisher, Sarah Silverman and Andy Dick, now on Mydamnchannel.com. Cenk Uygur

Uygur is host of The Young Turks, the first ever live, daily web television talk show. The Young Turks is now on XM Satellite Radio 8-9PM ET (XM 167) and Sirius Satellite Radio on the weekends. The Young Turks is one of the Top 100 YouTube Partners, with over 10 million views a month on their YouTube Channel.

Uygur is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania - Wharton School of Business and Columbia University Law School. He has worked as a lawyer, television writer and television host. Cenk also blogs on Huffington Post, DailyKos, Politico and AOL’s Hot Seat.

Adam Lambert

Adam is not last year's American Idol runner up. However, he is a tax consultant who works and lives in the NYC area. Blogging under the name "clammyc", Adam is a front page contributing editor at BlueJersey.com and has written hundreds of essays about framing and messaging on a number of progressive issues and campaigns.

He has worked on various campaigns (NJ Governor - 2009, NJ-5th Congressional District, 2006, 2008, 2010), doing online outreach and strategy. Adam previously hosted weekly online radio shows at BlogTalkRadio.com, where he also managed the progressive lineup of shows.

Currently, Adam is advising the Congressional candidate in his district, and was one of the founders of Retire Garrett (and RetireGarrett.com), a grassroots organization dedicated to the Congressional Race in NJ's 5th District.

David Atkins

David Atkins is a qualitative research consultant (focus group design & moderation) living in Ventura, CA, and writes on DailyKos, Calitics and elsewhere under the pseudonym "thereisnospoon". He is President of the Ventura County Young Democrats, and actively engaged in a variety of local volunteer efforts aimed at unseating Republicans in CA-24, as well as in California's AD-37 and SD-19. Through his company The Pollux Group, he has also consulted with the Los Angeles County Democratic Party to help defeat Republicans in red districts across Southern California.
