My Name Is Violet Martinez & I reside in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I first got involved with my community around the age of 15, now that I’m 18 I have helped not only myself but others as well to realize that it’s ok to be true to who you are, and that’s why I love being apart of this awesome movement that benefits us all at the end of the day. Some projects I’ve help create and took part in was a campaign that focused on LGBTQI+ youth behavioral health, as well as the trying to being attention to the trans epidemic last year when many of our sisters were taken from us tragically. Everything hasn’t been easy but totally worth it when I see actual change as a result of all the hard work.
