#womensmarch, #metoo, #youknowme (Women’s Caucus)

Social media gave women the courage to speak up, report abuse, march & take down the powerful elite.  What started as a Facebook event ballooned into the largest protest in human history, giving women a glimpse into the power they wield. Next came #MeToo and #TimesUp in which women shared their personal stories of sexual abuse and misconduct, taking out powerful men across politics, entertainment and business. Now, the #YouKnowMe is the latest phase of women coming together to share their most personal stories, but in a cathartic way intended to stand up for women’s reproductive freedoms. Join us to discuss how social media in the hands of women has literally changed our society—and hear about what this next chapter of change might look like.
