Aaron Narraph Fernando is a 19-year-old organizer with Queens Democratic Socialists of America and student at Macaulay Honors College at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In the aftermath of nationwide protests surrounding George Floyd’s death, he released a spreadsheet of New York City elected officials who had taken campaign contributions from law enforcement unions. It went viral, kickstarting numerous campaigns across the country pressuring politicians to swear off law enforcement money.
