Andrew Satter is the Director of Video at the Center for American Progress in Washington, DC. A journalist-turned-filmmaker, Satter has produced and directed dozens of short films on a variety of pressing social issues. He is particularly interested in using the medium of film to educate and explain the impact of public policy on our daily lives. His films have screened at numerous film festivals in the U.S. and around the globe. Satter holds a master’s degree in new media journalism from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in English from Washington University in St. Louis.
