Jamie entered 2012 armed with organizing experience in the New York City neighborhoods of West Harlem and Chinatown, Silicon Valley worksites with SEIU, and in a few phonebank rooms. Throughout 2012, she helped lead several campaigns at Working Partnerships USA to register and engage monolingual voters in three languages in the South Bay. Victories included raising taxes on the rich for schools and increasing the minimum wage in San Jose. She now brings her experience organizing with tenants' unions, labor unions, and in political campaigns to organizing immigrant communities in San Jose for radical change. In her free time (yes, you can make that happen even as an organizer!) she enjoys being outside and discovering again why we fight for the people and places we love.
