
Kelly M. Fay Rodríguez works on immigration, civil rights, voting rights and community engagement programs at the AFL-CIO in the Office of the Executive Vice President. She joined the Federation during the 2012 elections to document labor-community partnerships, and then worked on immigration policy, research and advocacy in the legal department. Previously, she studied law at City University of New York School of Law as a Haywood Burns Human and Civil Rights Law Fellow. Before law school she was an immigration paralegal for SEIU 32B-J and then a legal case assistant for the Labor Bureau at the New York State Attorney General’s Office where she investigated minimum wage and overtime law violations. In 2008 she was the Regional Field Director in Orlando, Florida for President Barack Obama and has coordinated numerous international election observation missions throughout Central and South America, and the Caribbean with the Organization of American States.
